Lenovo embraces Android on smartphone and Google TV with Lenovo S2
Lenovo ventures in the crowded smartphone market with its own Android phone, but with version 2.3, besides launching the tablets and a “Google TV”.
Lenovo S2 smartphone announced at a press conference in Las Vegas. The device has a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1.4 GHz, an 8 megapixel camera and a choice of 512 or 1 GB memory and 8 or 16GB storage. The Lenovo S2 screen measures 3.8-inch screen and above has a front camera.
The smartphone Lenovo S2 can be photos, music and videos sync with Lenovo laptops. With a flick of a touch-sensitive area below the actual screen is a touch-screen multi-task to call or backward. BlackBerry maker RIM has a similar edge on top of his playbook tablet.
Surprisingly, the Lenovo S2 is not delivered with the new 4.0 version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich), but it still runs the old version 2.3 (Gingerbread). Lenovo did two years ago with his first LePhone, but it was not available in Europe. The Lenovo S2 is available immediately for sale in China, Lenovo would want to release him internationally. The individual selling is not yet known.
The PC producer, the world number two, it also comes with its own TV, which runs Android. Smart TV that Lenovo K91 is the first TV with Android 4.0. The device has a 55 inch screen and is operated by a special gamepad. The K91 is initially only available in China for sale.
