The new BlackBerry devices with OS BBX will not resemble the current generation of phones manufacturer RIM. According to a chief executive officer, the BBX smartphones more like the BlackBerry PlayBook.
In an interview with PCMag late Alec Saunders, Vice President at RIM producer, that the new BlackBerry devices with OS BBX will not resemble the typical phones in the Bold series.
Instead, the “small version” of the BlackBerry PlayBook is.
RIM will find this new form factor needed because the new operating system is designed for displays with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels (16:9), which is similar to that of the PlayBook.
This ensures that applications designed for the tablet can be used directly on the BBX phones.
It thus seems that the new BlackBerry devices BBX all is equipped with a large screen and physical QWERTY keyboard will disappear into the background.
