O2 will not sell the PlayBook because of problems with the user experience
If you have been to date with the news of the tablet RIM will know that your tablet is already launched in different countries, in fact, yesterday launched and Venezuela and from today is available with all the operators. The company has been doing a good job of displaying your Blackberry PlayBook with QNX around the world; unfortunately, some carriers do not agree with the functioning and experience that the device can offer to their customers.
This is the case of the operator O2 in the UK who has decided to “pass” to sell the tablet RIM. The information was released when the company asked users to what time may acquire, to which they replied that they shall not offer this version of the Blackberry PlayBook by problems with the “customer experience”; decision strong and now officially being launched across the UK.
It is difficult to understand a phrase so general that really does not specify why not sell the tablet. The cause could be due to the lack of native applications essential as a mail client (which is solved with a software update, according to RIM).
Besides this, the main criticism that is made to the Blackberry PlayBook is the dependence of 3G connections via Blackberry Bridge and, for now, there are no 3G models. According to rumors, RIM already is working on the 3G and 4G LTE models later this year along with the native integration of the BIS service.
