Pentax stuffs Optio RZ18, 18x zoom compact cameras
Photographers who want to zoom a lot, soon no longer need to invest in an expensive “bridge cameras. Pentax has developed a compact camera that can zoom to 18x (Optio RZ18).
The new camera called Optio RZ18 features a 18x optical zoom lens. Behind the lens lies a 16-megapixel sensor, which also video in HD (720p30) can handle.
The Optio RZ18 has a 9-point autofocus, face detection and image stabilization. Back of the camera is displayed a 3-inch LCD screen.
Pentax brings the camera in October from the U.S… The Optio RZ18 (pdf) will be available in three colors (black, white and orange) for $ 300. When and for what price the camera Optio RZ18 is released in the Netherlands, is not yet clear.
