What is the four-wheel drive?
I entered the 4×4 a few years ago, and currently own a Toyota Hilux 1997. 4×4 is a vehicle designed to operate on surfaces that are rocky, moist, soft, and uneven or grudges are ready to roll. Normal cars are two wheel drive, while a 4-wheel drive car with four-wheel drive (hence the 4×4 or 4WD), which has more traction to drive on rough terrain. They also have more space, more memory and the possibility of a caravan, boat or trailer with ease. Four wheel drives is a major sport in the world and is also touring the country or simply very popular weekend. Possession of a four-wheel drive means you go to the beach, climbing a steep hill ruts and even your family somewhere remote for the weekend!
Types of 4 wheel drive
There is a wide choice of four SUVs that are available, from the most common brand, Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, Range Rover, Land Rover, Suzuki, Ford, Holden and Mercedes. Every car brand has to build another type of their cars, why different strengths and weaknesses of each have, explains. Today, 4-wheel drive is always much more safety conscious, which means they are often not as good as some of the oldest all-terrain four wheel drive in its default state. Even with more electronic gadgets and other delicate, they tend not so strong and so (the more things go wrong) reliable off-road. In these words, you can change with a new vehicle today to the good parts, extremely powerful and reliable.
Where can I drive?
This question may be largely by where you live and what the restrictions are imposed by law to respond. In Australia, you can count on a variety of beaches, dunes (as Lancelin) and tracks on the disc to go into the bush. Of course, there are areas where it is not allowed to drive, but you around some of the research and a way to order! Be aware that some songs are much more difficult than others, and if you look at a runway too heavy for your vehicle, you can do damage very expensive for the car or even people. A good four-wheel drive can drive on sand, mud, rocks, snow, and combinations of them. The ability to track who wants a normal car could not travel cope opened a new set of possibilities, from fishing to the beach, camping and country.
How to drive (and how not)
As with other sports 4×4 is not something you learn by doing or right. Unlike other sports, if you can make mistakes are very costly, so it is important to learn things slowly and at a rate you’re comfortable with. Different terrain requires a different driving style, where you will learn over time. The best advice I can give you is that the roads you’re comfortable with. There are a number of four courses of wheel you do when you want to drive, can, and they provide a good understanding of what you should do. It is a fair bit of skill when riding on terrain that is learned over time. There also know a good deal in vehicle recovery, go where and what to avoid. I’ll go into more detail in future posts.
What works for you 4×4?
Buying a car wheel can be quite a big decision, so it’s a choice to make a serious study of the first. The 4-wheel drive that best suits what you want it is not. A resource I recommend is the forum 4WD month. This will take you to a great leader from a good foundation with full service professional changes, travel and much more. The general theory behind the purchase of the disk is located on the right, a list of what you want he wants to be able to find a vehicle and then make it easy to do these things again and again.
I bought my 1997 Toyota Hilux now almost a year for a number of reasons. I listed the requirements of my car and the Hilux has been met with each of these:
• Must be strong, capable off-road and easy to modify, without portfolio
• Must look good
• Need for reliable and inexpensive to repair if something goes wrong
• be economically (I converted to gas; a cheap car now means are already cheaper than most small cars with gasoline)
• Must be able to clean (vinyl floors and seats are awesome)
• Must be able to throw to work (wood, tools and everything else)
I must say that I am not at all, but I carefully planned what I wanted in my 4×4 and then made my choice. You may want a car that is an average off-road, but Australia with ease through the performance of the transition tour of the family? Perhaps, the towing capacity for large boat or a car that is indestructible? Of course, it is unlikely that you will find the perfect vehicle, but with thought and good changes that come with a car that almost everything you want it. The only problem I have with the Hilux is that it is not very powerful (but it’s a good compromise for fuel consumption). It is therefore difficult, trailer or boat and travel long distances on the road. In these words, I am more than happy with the car!
Modifications
If you buy a four wheel drive all-new factory, they are usually very bad in the worst situations off road. They have road tires at low prices, low grip, work very little room for the bar with small engines that are not as efficient as could be, and a total lack of 4×4 accessories offer the greatest number are needed. You can decide to suspend, raise the body, put the handles on the front guard and rear bar, add lights and a roof rack, wheel carrier at the rear of the car, convert the engine to operate on two fuels to provide wider tires and different wheels, change the exhaust system and lots more. For four-wheel drive is so popular, there are many changes you can do to your car, regardless of brand. The most important thing to remember is to change where your local legal and make up for what you want from your car!
